Young girls of age 15 to 24 are trained and supported by ROCA for a period of one year. They work in schools and communities to create SRHR Clubs supportive to ROCA mission. The peer-to-peer approach unifies our efforts and facilitates our progress. The training builds a foundation for the communication skills of behavior change and instills confidence in the girls as agents of change and leaders in their communities. The ambassadors get access to extensive networks of professionally diverse icons and role models who equip them with relevant skills and information and mentor them to navigate and transit to leaders and beyond.
Nurturing and fostering a generation of young people, girls, women and boys who aspire to change other young people’s perspectives in their spaces to transform their communities. Our focus on behavior change communication (BCC) creates a foundation on which young people of ages 12 to 24 adopt to new top notch advocacy skills as qualifications they need to access key decision making roles about their health and wellbeing. By equipping the young people with accurate, scientifically tested and proven information and skills, most innovative young change makers are born.
